Abandoned puppy is fast asleep after chasing a ball around the lounge room.
Coco (like Chanel and the base ingredient for chocolate- perfect name) has been mistreated.
Looks like she’s been tied up and cowed within an inch of her life.
Special place in hell for people who hurt animals.
Oh yeh … and stupid drunken girls who took one of my plants and smashed it up the street last night. Yup – you’re really cool.
Coco now has a lovely red collar (loves it) and a red leash (hates it). I wormed her and bought her some toys to play with – loves the ball on a rope.
She has a designer crafted bowl to eat out of and loves the puppy food I got her.
And … best of all … she’s trying to go outside to poo and wee … sometimes she gets out … sometimes not. No problemo.
Cue Liz with plastic gloves … newspaper … and disinfectant.
I’m also burning more incense at the moment.
We will be putting up posters and I’ve been asking around. But so far no one has lost a puppy.
We went and visited Mags … who is a dog whisperer. Coco likes me … but she LOVES Mags.
Went to the library and took out all their dog training books.
Two things Coco won’t ever get … beaten or shouted at … she responds really quickly to a clear ‘No’ when she keeps trying to chew the throw.
Cue photo below … just before she grabbed the throw … I’ve seen too many innocent eyes to be fooled.
Coco is feeling a little safer and has started playing with her toys and wandering around the house.
OK … enough dog goo goo ga ga.
Off to lunch in Moo Bar and then a siesta … all this puppy stuff is a little tiring … but great fun.
Then tonight I will be learning some latin dances. Can’t wait.
I send you good wishes for a great weekend.
I’m looking forward to opening Dad’s present (still unwrapped Pa) and going to the Moo Bar for a party tomorrow night.
Photos will be taken.
xx Liz

Coco’s pretty adorable, and I’m not even a dog person.
We just moved today to a friend’s house; the first trip in from the truck, I brought in a vintage pink armchair. By the second trip, Keith’s cat Poopsie had already made herself comfortable in the chair and was giving me a look that said, “Um, like, you don’t seriously think you’re going to bang around like that while I’m trying to get my beauty rest, are you??” Niiiiice. Pets are always the tops, and their humans are always the bottoms.
Have a good birthday weekend!!!

Hi Amy
Lovely to hear from you.
Yeh – pets ‘do’ territory better than humans.
Gotta say tho … I’ve been out latin dancingfor 5 hours …came home expecting the lounge to be in bits … nada ..Coco was just waiting and no mess.
Took her outside in high heels (me …not her) to go to the toilet … nada …
Right now she is playing and I will play with her for a while.
Thanks for the birthday wishes … maybe one year you and K can come to Ballinamore for a visit.
xxx Liz

Hi Liz, I quite seriously hope and pray that no one answers that ad. It would be OK if she had been treated well and someone was desperately missing her but it is unthinkable to give her back to someone, anyone, who mistreats her.
Keep us posted – you know you have our undivided attention over this pup.
