Hi folks
Another cold and windy day … no way was I going to spend any time outside … really bitter weather.
And then a pile of kids turn up … thankfully I was organised.
They put the seed compost into seed trays (thanks to Eamonn & Noleen for giving them to us) and wrote tags that let us remember … the seed type and date sown.
Lots of chat and they were great … I told them how the seeds would come up in a week or so and in a few weeks (or when the roots can be seen through the bottom of the tray) we would move them to larger seed trays.
They won’t go into the ground until late April/early May.
I gave them (the kids) a glass of orange and a couple of choc chip cookies.
Then it was all over … until next week.
I put the seed trays into the front window … for sunshine … and then I let people know that the kids did it all.
Relaxing now by the fire … having fish and chips and lots of vegetables for dinner.

I’ll be happy to post their progress.
The only seeds that have come up in 1 week are the lettuce.
All the other seeds are still under the dirt.
As soon as the chilli and sweet peas peek their heads up I’ll post a photo.

hope ta see ya during easter holidays; we might be down.
we’v also been planting ourselfs here in donegal; potatoes,cabbage, lettuce, scalions and strawberrys. the potatoe’s stems are about 10cm long and the leaves about 5cm wide . the strawberrys are half dead . scalions roughly 15cm long same as lettuce and cabbage. hope to talk/see ya soon

after all my emailing i forgot to menchion that we are planting TURNOP,CORROTS,ONIONS AND GOOSEBERRYS.
ME WEE BRO HAD A GOOD FEW BUMPS & BRUSES THE DAY BUT IS FINE NOW. HE WON’T STOP TALKING ABOUT COCO & LIZ’S HOUSE AND THAT HE WANTS TO TAKE HIS BIKE WITH HIM WHEN HE COMES DOWN THE NEXT TIME ”SHOW LIZ ME SUPERMAN BIKE ”HE SAYS EVERYTIME WE MENCHION GRANNYS . AND NOW HE SAYS U’R HIS GIRLFRIEND.
