Happy Monday folks.
Ever wake up and realise that the last 5 or 6 days have been great – full of people and interesting work and potential new adventures – and – you yearn for a quiet/still day?
That’s what I’m having today. Quiet and still. A kind of all day meditative state where I let any ideas or worries just flow by ….
A day where the world will turn happily without my energy. A day where I will read a couple or three books (yeh, I read real fast – which someone once said was a sign that I’m an alien – cute.). A day where work can wait.
A friend dropped over my new bike yesterday. I’ve called her Mae West cause she’s fast and curvy.Went for a ride thinking I’d be away for an hour – sad sad Liz – had to turn back after 20 minutes as I’m so unfit. My lolling January has caught up with me. Never fear – I will just do a few 20 minute wanders each day until my legs stops quivering and my heart rate slows down.I’ll be cycling up hills and (best part) down dales in no time.
Speaking of heart rates – I’m mentioning V day now so I can let it flow past me on Wednesday. To all those people who love it – enjoy. To all those people who hate it – wear black. Me – I’m interested to see if my Ballinamore main street will have any men sheepishly holding flowers (guys we can tell when it’s something you don’t do often by the way you try and pretend you’re not holding 30 euros worth of lilies). Anyway – c’est la vie.
And as I wander off to energise the Liz batteries I send you good wishes for a week that brings cool surprises and adventures.
