It’s been a while since my last blog and these are my sins …
That brings back spooky memories of my first confession … trying to think up sins as a 6 year old was a bit of a stretch. Trying to think up sins now would still be a bit of a stretch. No, I’m not a saint but I ain’t a sinner either. Not in the major league at all. Haven’t coveted or killed lately … I actually helped a friend carry mice in a humane trap from his house to the fields twice the other night. That’s gotta add a few karmic brownie points … and they were kind of sweet (the mice not my friend!).
Anyway, life has been very busy with work and travel to Dublin nearly every week. In the main I’m enjoying it all (’cause that’s my choice) and I now rent a room in Dublin with 2 great friends of mine so no more hotels – and – I get to hang with 2 amazing women.
The work is varied and ranges from developing a national training strategy for a major charity to creating a quality standards framework for another charity … to writing a 6 year tourism product development plan for a county council. All really interesting and good people to work with across the board.
I love coming back to Ballinamore and my wee home. My plants are growing like … ummmm … plants. Should be able to eat the strawberries in a few weeks. I hope to make elderflower cordial this weekend and give as presents to friends in Ballinamore, Sligo and Dublin. It’s very tasty and great when added to champagne or sparkling water.
One of my Dublin micro family (that’s the 2 women I share with … keep up my treasured reader) gave me this great website that allows you to watch movies and pretty much any tv programme (and anime and cartoons and music videos). I’ve been catching up on Dr Who, Numb3rs, and of course … Startrek and Jon Luc Picard.
Oh yeh, the weather has been crap … rain, rain, rain … another amazing summer in Ireland. Being a ‘glass is overflowing and it’s champagne’ kind of woman, I’m going to look on the bright side … my plants are getting watered.
There’s probably heaps more I could write (family is well, I’m happy, tasted some great chocolate, spending time with great people, …) but I have to get back to some work.
Hope your life has many moments that fill you up.
