You can probably hear me sniffling and coughing from where you are. I do love the way a cold kind of creeps up on you. One day I’m feeling fine except for my usual hay fever and the next it’s turned into a cold with all the aches and blah blahs.
Went all the way to Dublin to do my much anticipated advanced database design course and had to cancel because of the cold and as a good citizen I sure don’t want to share my germs.
So, it was back on the train the next day in an unheated carriage and the ground covered in frost and mist – gorgeous really.
Been cosy in bed sleeping and reading books and taking all the requisite medicine. It’s been dark and cold outside so I’ve been happy to snuggle under the duvet.
On Monday (before the cold – or – BC) I developed another blog called Lippylala Publishing. I’ve been planning to set up a self publishing micro business for a few years and felt it was the right time.
Walnut Books are planning to sell my first publication – Life Dreaming Workbook – in early 2008. They are also interested in stocking the yet to be written Mud Woman book on my cob self building experience.
My brother Marc designed the Lippylala Publishing branding and I love love love it. Yup – its curvy and baroque and a little Mae West – a bit like me folks. Marc has designed the other 2 visual brands for Focused Solutions & Life Dreaming – and they are all beautiful and reflect the core of each of the businesses.
The dear brother has also just written at Creative Spark on all the blogs and businesses I’m developing. Made me blush.
The next 4 weeks will be busy as I get sorted to spend 10 weeks in Singapore and Australia – and do some work for a new contract. So, it’s probably a good thing that I got my cold now and not the week before I left – everything in its own time I suppose.
I’ll be posting from Singapore and Australia and am so looking forward to seeing family and friends – and sunshine.
Have a great weekend and if you’re in Ireland – don’t forget to put you clocks back by an hour tomorrow.
Take good care
