On Monday I leave Ballinamore.
Thankfully it’s only for 2.5 months but you’d think I was leaving forever.
I’ve had neighbours dropping in with cards and my small local children making cards with Bye Bye Liz on the front.
I’ve invited all the neighbours that I know for some bubbly at the Moo wine bar tonight as a thank you and an early xmas drink. I was there last night for their first wine tasting and had a ball with nearly 30 other people.
I’ve said it before – and I will be saying it for the rest of my life.
Ballinamore is a great town with some really friendly people. And I’m so glad I moved here a year ago.
There are any number of enterprising people living here and I’m doing my best to be the encouraging one to any new businesses. I’m giving free time to these micro (and not so micro) businesses to help do stuff like set up business blogs and act as an executive coach.
And it’s by no means a one way street.
There’s an unquantified alchemy that happens when energetic and value driven risk taker/entrepreneurs get together and support each other. All of us love Ballinamore and we want to be part of ensuring it thrives.
Anyway – I’ll be off to Dublin on Monday and from there to Singapore on Wednesday.
Sunshine and family are the tonic I need to top off a really great year.
I’ll keep you in touch with my travels.
Take good care
