Nearly 3 weeks in Perth.
Holidays are funny things.
There’s only so many times I can:
Say how much I love seeing my family and friends
Talk about shopping
Tell you about sleeping in and just lolling
Detail great food and wine
Gush about sunshine and great Oz light
I feel a deep pleasure in catching up (so far) with my Dad & Liz; Mary & John; and Lisa & Kath. They open their homes and feed/cosset me.
We delight in each others company as we catch up on the last few years – and share our plans/dreams for the next few.
I have had a great time shopping and have been very discerning – some books on woodwork from a discount shop; some great layered black clothes at very reasonable prices (same with some jewellery); a retro pair of bathers (swimming costume); a long halter neck dress and bejewelled flat shoes ……
I’ve also been given some great presents from my girlfriends – jewellery; hats; sarongs … lucky me.
I’m now at Lisa and Kath’s 30 acre property in the hills looking forward to my first barbque in Oz. We’ll be on the first floor decking overlooking the state forrest and watching the kangaroos – sipping white wine (us, not the roos!) as the sun sets.
Hope that wherever you are that the moments bring you some peace and joy.
