After a tough and wet summer … days of sunshine are our delight.
The Sunny Funny Garden Gang had a great afternoon on Friday.
They painted the boat that Maggie ‘wore’ in the Fancy Dress Parade during the Festival.
Maeve had a friend … Aoife …visiting. The Hamill’s B&B was busy and 2 of the children staying from London came to play as well.
That’s what I love about the Garden … it’s a great place for the kids to play and explore.
Don’t you love Eoin’s upside down trees?
I chatted to the kids about imagination … how you can make anything up when you do art … in painting, writing, dance, music … you can have upside down trees … green suns … dancing sharks … stars in the water …
I am very proud of the way the kids welcome strangers to the garden.
James loves Coco and running up and down the garden with her. It’s a great help to me as I don’t run … walk yes … run no.
The girls then had a great time riding up and down in a go cart … great drivers.
Thanks James for the push up the hill.
Yesterday was another of the rare sunny days in Ballinamore and my good friends and cottage neighbours … Derek and Lynda … got to soak in some of the rays.
They also had a taste of Sharon Sweeneys chocs and loved them.
If the sun shines on Saturday we’ve invited the Hamill and D’Arcy parents and Theresa, Maggie, Derek and Lynda to a BBQ in the Sunny Funny Garden.
And the week moves quietly on …and it’s raining again … hmmmm blah.
Take good care.
