It’s raining … it’s pouring …
Coco and I have decided to work from my warm bed today … thank God for broadband and electric blankets.
I’ve been working away online for hours and Coco has been … sleeping and growing.
I took her for 2 walks yesterday and the evening one was by the canal at the end of the street.
It’s really pretty and you can see boats moored down stream.
It’s really lovely having a bridge and the canal at the beginning of the main street.
We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place … I love it and am grateful for this beauty on a daily basis … I really enjoy seeing it change through the seasons.
Last night Anne sent me another photo from the Maria Doyle Kennedy concert last Friday.
Yeh … we all know that Sheila is a little divil … obviously Maria does as well.
And that would be the equally divilish Anne on the left and Janet on the right.
What a wonderful time we had … a little after midnight on Friday there was just a small crew of us … so we all started singing along with Maria and her husband on guitar … magic.
Sheila … you have a very sweet voice and you know all the words to songs. I know the first sentence to ‘Two little Boys’ … sigh …
I was talking with Laura from Shaylyn the other day and she told me about all the great courses coming up for the Autumn.
Here’s a quick list but check their site for more details. There’s also posters all over town:-

- Irish Dance classes for Children. Start Mon Sept 15. Beginners 6pm. Advanced 7pm.
- Pilates – start Sept 25. Beginners (that’s me!) 6-6.50pm or 7-7.50pm. Classes run for 6 weeks and cost 65 euro.
- Hatha Yoga – start Sept 25. 8-9pm.
There are lots of other classes and you can find out more on their site or phone 071 9681101 or email email@example.com.
I see on their site that they may also be doing – digital photography, sewing, knitting and quilting.
I’m going to do Pilates and I’m interested in quilting.
My stepmum has been quilting for years and has created some really beautiful heirloom pieces. She showed me how to do basic quilting and I made this cushion in about an hour when I was in Oz in January this year.
Guess who’s just woken up and wants to play outside? Coco pup.
No way .. says I … can you hear her sigh? Liz is no fun … yup … and I’m warm and dry … that’s the fun of being alpha dog.
And before I hear anyone say ‘poor Coco’ … she’s just had fun chewing a bone (thanks again Therese Hamill)… and is fast asleep again on my warm bed.
Have a great day yourself.
