Save yourself the hassle of tailbacks … traffic jams … and jammed aisles … in the bigger towns.
We have some great shops in Ballinamore run by fab people … and you can stroll happily down the street … no stress.
Shop in Ballinamore.
My good friend Maggie runs Smyths gift shop … poor girl has a horrendous commute to work … she has to walk across the street from her cottage.
Smyths is a lovely gift shop with a wide range of interesting Irish products – (ph – 0719644091)
An Siopa Bronntanas – irish for gift shop.
Mags is a wizard at making everything look lovely and her Xmas windows are a delight.
The glass ranges from Waterford Crystal … Galway Crystal … and Avoca Blue
I’d like to point out our friend Adrien checking out the glassware … he does like a glass of red wine … bull in china shop comes to mind … although he has a great talent in stone carving and that takes a steady hand.
Maggie has developed some lovely displays in the shop and it’s a real pleasure to browse and buy.
There’s a lovely range of red sculpted glass that’s just gorgeous – by Franz.
Maggie sells Eunan Sweeney’s wonderful photos of Leitrim (notice them in the glass photos in this post).
You can buy Eunan’s photos framed/unframed and in different sizes. There are also lots of lovely cards with Irish wildlowers.
Mags was wearing some gorgeous silver jewellery the other day and I asked her what was the brand … it’s called Reaction and you can see the cuff and bracelet in the window … plus a lot of other stuff.
You can also buy … candles, books, cards, Irish music, Bellek pottery, and Irish souvenirs … a treasure trove.
