Happy faces for the camera Really sad to leave
Lynda and Derek are on the train to Dublin right now … hopefully relaxing from the week long farewell celebrations, packing and working.
We went to Priors at 10pm last night and then down to McGirls for a quiet one … or two. Lovely to see Miriam, Kevan, Brian, Mags, Gregory and others come down to say a final farewell.
I got to bed early (relative to the rest of the week) … 2am.
The three of us had lunch at Priors today before leaving for the train station … thanks Gay Prior for standing us lunch … and Dee for driving us to the train station.
This town is blessed with good people.
We stopped at Fenagh Abbey on the way to the train … lovely place and beautiful views.
Landed at the train station and we decided I wasn’t going to wait for the train … time to say goodbye … not happy
we aren’t our usual smiling selves
I feel teary as I write this … and a few tears have already fallen this week and today.
I’ll miss my good neighbours & dear friends 3 doors up.
Mags and I (well… more me than Mags) are doing very clear wishings for the neighbours we want in the 2 cottages … Monday is the New Moon … and if they come true … Mags will finally be convinced I’m a witch.
Travel safe and happy my dear friends … see you in July when you come back to Ballinamore (their favourite place in the world) … and I visit you in Athens Georgia in November.
