Just back from a brisk 1 hour walk with Coco pup.
I had to tie a ribbon on the harness as it’s a tad big … she will grow into it.
Still not sure about it all
I really can’t believe how easy it is to walk Coco now … sometimes the solutions to what seem like ongoing problems … are relatively simple … just try something else.
Perservering is not always the answer … doing the same thing over and over in the hope that a behaviour (Coco pulling on the lead) will change … is just silly … only took me 6 months to sort that one out!!!
Once Coco was off the lead she ran away as happily as usual … the harness didn’t seem to bother her … it’s padded and I’ll be checking for any rubbing marks … and … it’s easier to catch her when I want to go home.
Delighted how well the walking boots are working … no soggy socks or feet … I relished walking today … actually sought out muggy spots to play in.
Speaking of mucky spots … look at my mad dog … this water/mud trench has been frozen over for ages and Coco was delighted to see it had melted …
That’s the only water she likes to play in … anything deeper and she gets very nervous … and she barks at me if I get too close to the canal.
I love the landscape around here at any time of the year.
There is always something to see … a different perspective through the leafless trees … changing light and colour … lovely.
I’m off now to do some work and also go visit some of the neighbours to say hi.
Have a lovely day.
p.s 2 posts in one day is a bit much but I wanted to show you Coco in her harness.
