It’s glorious weather here in Ballinamore … high 20’sC.
Everyone is out and smiling.
I can’t go out for too long as I burn and come out in hives … fab look for the summer.
I can enjoy it from the shade.
I just received an email from Laura Gilheaney about a wee duck that turned up on the Willowfield Rd this morning.
Here’s her note
I have a funny one for you, a duck turned up at my house in Willowfield Rd. in the early hours this morning and my brother brought him down to my mothers house at the canal basin.
She is currently minding him and he seems to think she is his mother as every time she walks away from him he starts crying.
He is a teenage duck and has been temporarily christened Wade !!
She was talking to a man a couple of hours ago who says he is a farm duck and that they were being sold in Drumshanbo over the weekend and maybe someone bought him as a pet??
Anyway if no one claims him this man is going to take him as he already has a pond and ducks at his farm so Wade would be quite welcome, but before he takes him we just want to check is there anyone looking for him, i have rang a few people so far but no luck yet.
So maybe you could put it on your blog to see if any of your readers can solve the mystery 🙂
So … anyone missing a duck? Any of your friends lost a duck?
Drop me a line or email Laura [firstname.lastname@example.org] if you know who belongs to the duck … otherwise … it sounds like it might be going to a good home.
Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks for reading this blog … even when I feel sick and moany … you kindly read and leave nice comments.
In May I had the most readers ever … 3,989 … sooooo close to 4,000.
Now I know that the big bloggers get hundreds of thousands … sometimes millions … of readers.
I like to think of my readership as … small … but perfectly formed.
Take good care.
