My sister Siobhain emailed me from Oz to mention that I hadn’t done a blog post in a few days.
Sorry about that folks … just caught up in day to day living.
And … I can’t find the connection to upload a pile of photos I took on Friday of:
- The Boys School getting their Green Flag for 2 years of environmental projects
- The photography exhibition opening
It’s lovely and warm here in Ballinamore … and I’ve photos of that as well.
My family in Australia laugh when I tell them how hot it is here (mid 20C) … that’s their minimum for Winter!!
The downside of all this sunshine is that it highlights all the dust in the cottage.
I think I’ll designate today as tidy the cottage day … and maybe I’ll find the camera connection.
I have been productive this week:
- walking Coco every day … she adores running around … although the heat does get to her.
- typing up Life Dreaming modules.
- put in all my papers to social welfare for some benefits while this work dry spell continues … special mention of Mary {social welfare officer in Ballinamore} … people told me she was helpful … and they were right. She is a credit to her organisation and makes people feel at ease. Thanks Mary.
- eating healthy food and drinking litres of water.
- visiting Mags cat Patsy twice a day for an hour … feeding her and keeping her company while Mags is in Majorca.
I’m off to clean … better put on some music to help the whole process along. The mere thought of all the cleaning makes me tired.
Ah well … the fairies won’t do it.
Hope you’re having a lovely week.

I hope that you are having fun and that the fairies are enjoying all the activity going on around them as you whiz around with the duster!
I have music on and a determination that may wane very easily.
Can’t even decide which room to start on!!!
Slowly … step by creaking step.

And your friends in the US do too! ;D
It’s been in the 90s here for over a week… and muggy! Even got to a 100 for a couple of days last weekend. And summer just started!
Derek
It’s really really hot here for us … but you win.
xxLiz
Yeah, if we’re lucky we cool down to the mid-20s C at some point in a 24-hour cycle.
Poor little Irish kitty was looking quite peaked with the heat when it was particularly sweltering a couple days back! Georgia kitty, on the other hand, was stretched in the sun and soaking it all up…
OK … it isn’t that hot here … thank goodness.
And the cottages come into their own in this weather … really cool.
